EVENTS Bridge and Dinner. July 7, 2008. Bridge at 7 p.m. at Tom and Maries, 2052 Wyndham Hills Dr. Holt. Bring a snack to share, beverage for yourself if other than water or ice tea and $.50 for the pot. Please CALL your reservation before July 5. The following have verbally reserved, please call if you will not be attending – Joyce, Connie, Joe, Bev, Linda, Harold, Maddy, Bob, EV, Bill. Dinner at “Buddies” in Holt, corner of Holt Rd. and Aurelius at 5:50 p.m. – call or e-mail Connie if you will be joining us for dinner. Bike Ride and Lunch in East Lansing. Marsha and Doug are organizing this event for July 11,2008. We will meet at Reno’s East , then ride bikes through the trails and end up back at Reno’s for lunch. A walking of the trails is also an option for those not wanting to ride bikes. Or, you could skip the exercise, and meet for the lunch part. Meet at Reno’s East in the parking lot on the NE corner of Saginaw and Abbott at 10:30 Am. Lunch will be at 12:30 PM. Sign up at the meeting or e-mail Marsha so she will know how many to expect. The Detroit Symphony is playing a Bernstein and Sondheim program at Meadowbrook, the first weekend of August. Lawn tickets are only $10. We could carpool in vans, pitching in for gas. And if we go earlier for good seats on the lawn with blankets and chairs, we could take picnic dinners. Any takers?? Joyce Davenport will chair this event. SAVE THE DATE! – Wednesday – 8/13/08 – Let’s meet at Ranney Park to hear 3 Men & A Tenor again. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinners – whatever! Concert begins at 7 PM, but come early for dinner and visiting. Let Pat Andrews know if you will be joining us so we have an idea of how much space we’ll need. She will be there by 5 PM. E-mail or call her to let her know that you are coming.. Hope to see you there Turkeyville Dinner Theater has two programs in the upcoming months – Midlife Crisis Musical on July 25,26, August 1,2,8,9,15,16 and Murder on Halloween on October 31, November 1. The theater is at 18935 15 ½ mile Road in Marshall – just off I69. Matinees: Meal at noon, show at 2 pm – Evening: Meal at 6 pm, show at 8 pm. The price $36.50 per person includes the meal and the show. Please let us know if you are interested in attending the dinner theater and when you can go. Reservations will need to be made and paid for in advance. Eileen Tvorik will chair this event if anyone is interested. MARK YOUR CALENDARS – CHRISTMAS PARTY The date has been set for our next Christmas Party. Friday, December 5 Guerrazzi’s Restaurant REPORT ON PAST ACTIVITIES Hearth and Hill bridge party, April 1- two tables played at Pat Andrews home. Ragtime Festival, April 24 – Ben Tumminello reported the music was great. Hearth and Hill bridge party, May 12 – three tables played at Conley’s home.

Check it out ! ! ! ! Also, any and all website suggestions are appreciated. EAST LANSING HEALTH CARE CENTER, LIONS CLUB & RONALD McDONALD HOUSEPlease bring the following items to any meeting: (1) East Lansing Health Care Center: white socks, T-shirts, stuffed animals, packets of tissue, hand lotion, perfume, toothpaste, shampoo, items for bingo prizes, videos, etc.; (2) Lions Club: old eyeglasses in frames for the needy; and (3) Ronald McDonald House: pop and beer can tabs. YEARLY DUES: Dues are due. They remain the same - $15.00/couple and $7.50/single. It is helpful if they are paid by check made out to Hearth and Hill Ski Club. They may be paid at the meeting or sent to Tom Grider. An updated roster will be sent out after dues are all paid.
